Amid growing climate concerns in late 2025, artists worldwide were invited to respond to the question, If trees could talk, what would they say? Each response took the form of a mailed postcard.
Julia Slyunkova took part in this international creative action with her mosaic artwork "Beneath the Trees" and accompanying poem.

If trees could talk, they wouldn’t rush to answer.
They would ask us to pause.
To pause and savour the moment.
To remember what is important, and what is truly big.
They would invite us to see our lives as a whole,
not as fragments, but as something connected—
roots to soil, branches to sky, people to place.
They would remind us that nothing grows alone,
that we are shaped by each other,
by plants, by land, by time.
